Tent Pegging
You are invited to be part of an exciting new concept in the sport of Tentpegging, offering cash and prizes
Tentpegging is an exciting sport with plenty of tradition and this event held in conjunction with the inaugural Australian Horseball Championships will put an emphasis on the individual elements of this sport to allow opportunities for those not involved in established teams, to be a part of the action and compete for cash and trophies.
October 23rd & 24th this year will see Tentpegging as part of the Tamworth Equestrian Exhibition. All Tentpegging will be run over the shortcourse distance of 80metres and will take place both outdoors and in the international standard indoor arena, at the Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre.
The focus will be on the individual events of Skill At Arms, Lemons and Peg, Rings and Peg and a Teams Tentpegging Challenge will also take place. You can nominate to compete in any or all of these events and be in the running to win great prizes.
You don’t need experience – provided that you are a competent rider, all events can be done with little training (which will be offered). You can enter as an individual even for the team events and we will fit you into a team. You can enter as many times as you like (however horse welfare will be monitored).
Everyone is welcome and we will offer information and equipment opportunity to that all are well acquainted with rules and procedures before you compete.
Current members of the Australian Horseball Association are immediately eligible to enter. For those not currently members you can join for just $15 for a weekend membership for this event.
