The Australian Horseball Championships are open to everyone, qualifying rounds will be held in the AELEC outdoor arenas on October 23, with the finals series being conducted in the magnificent indoor arena in front of large and boisterous crowds on October 24.

Prizemoney of $2,000 is being offered to the successful teams with the most sucessful horse and rider combinations both male and female winning free services to well known stock horse stallion Binnia Ideal, kindly donated by Geoff Eliott of Reo Park, Tamworth.

Horseball was introduced to Australia in 2009 off the back of the sports’ popularity throughout Europe. The Australian Horseball Association was established early this year and is rapidly signing up enthusiastic new members.

Nomination fee is just $25 per person for members of the Australian Horseball Association or $40 per person for non members. Teams must have a minimum of five and no more than six riders. However you can nominate as an individual and we will place you into a team. A draw will be conducted once nominations have been received

Horseball is a great team sport requiring a high degree of horsemanship and dexterity played over two 10 minute halves, often referred to as rugby on horseback! Check out the website for more.
